Bikaner, the city with full of cultural heritage- old havelies rich in architectural details, narrow streets providing sun-shades, lots of sweet and snacks (Bikaneri bhujiya) shops adding taste to the life, people with variety of clothing showing versatility of the typical Rajasthan culture, near-by villagers wearing giant colorful turbans & big moustaches showing their LEGACY, city surrounded by beautiful Sand Dunes & Camel Caravans.
When the task came to us designing of a retail space in the Bikaner city where the location of the site is so prominent giving a 5 point view to the proposal from a vast angle of sight being a corner land and facing the big round-about in the heart of the heritage city of Bikaner. This is among the best locations in the city we state after streaming whole city & the near-by areas. The most appealing thing we found there is the " CARAVAN OF CAMELS IN SAND DUNES " inspiring us keep on moving, which become the style & character of our building.
After setting all scheme, when we visited the JUNAGARH fort, its perforations & Jali work appealed us a lot that we crowned the project with a contemporary Jali facade jeweled with a colorful turban & moustaches as the prestigious project logo. Thus we achieved to the concept of "MARUDHARA".
